YeoSu 여수, S. Korea
This was one of the best Trips I have ever taken. It walked me through memories of 6th grade school trip to the same places but was so much better this time.
Jeon-Ju Train Station, Heading to YeoSu
I was too excited to sleep the night before. Despite the pouring rain, I was still thrilled to take a train trip with two of my best friends and was the first one to arrive at Jeon-Ju Train Station, eagerly waiting to capture the girls’ best moments as they arrived. I bought kimbap to share on the train, and the girls got morning coffee. I believe it has been almost 25 or more years since I have taken a train trip with friends.”
YeoSu Expo Station and Taking a Tour Bus
Even though the entire train ride alone was worth the money and time, I highly recommend taking a City Tour Bus when you get to YeoSu. We paid a discounted price of 10,000 won per person, and it took us to many different places: Odongdo Island, The National Treasure, Jinnamgwan Hall (couldn’t go inside due to reconstruction), and Hyangiram, a hermitage and Buddhist temple, as well as the Fish Mart. It also took us to the best location for lunch.
Unforgettable Tea Ssan-Hw-Cha, 못잊을 쌍화차
Korean Traditional Tea, Ssanghwa (雙和), means harmonizing the balance between Yin and Yang energies. Therefore, it is supposed to be good for preventing and treating colds, enhancing immune function, and promoting fatigue recovery. Personally, I loved the entire experience, from the outside attraction to ordering, waiting, chatting with best buddies, and enjoying its amazing scents.
Sky Tower and Cafe Sky, 스카이타워 전망대
Since we weren’t YeoSu residents, there was a small entrance fee of 2,000 won per person. We tried to bail out of paying it, but it didn’t work. LOL. We took the glass elevator to Cafe Sky, and the view was amazing. It was worth it. Don’t forget to check out the glass floor section where you are allowed to walk on it. It’s scary, but curiosity got me to walk on it. We took a train ride back to Jeon-Ju with new beautiful memories and captured moments.
Train Trip
It takes little over an hour from Jeon-Ju to Yeo-Su Train station.
